Francis ‘Rick’ Joseph Krivda – McKeesport

Francis “Rick” Joseph Krivda, 78, of McKeesport, passed away at home on April 12, 2023. He was born in Braddock on Dec. 21, 1944, and is the son of the late Stephen and Josephine Huss Krivda. He was preceded in death in 2014 by his loving wife, Jean, of 47 years. They have three children together, LonJean (William “Toots”) Frederick of McKeesport; Rick (Christine) Krivda of Perry Hall, Md.; and Michael (Cathy) Krivda of Timonium, Md. He was a wonderful “Pap” to five grandchildren, Natalie (Mat) Gregg of White Oak; Zachary N. and Nathan (Jenna) Krivda of McKeesport; and Zachary O. and Carly Krivda of Perry Hall, Md. He had a special bond with his great-grandson, Kameron Baker, whom he adored and babysat prior to his illness. He is also survived by his siblings, Elaine Mantuano, Patricia Barnes, Helen Gorshak, Gerald Krivda and Joseph Krivda; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish, Corpus Christi Church. He was also a member of PNA Lodge 352 and served as president there for over 20 years. He retired from the United States Navy, as well as from Westinghouse and Alcoa. He devoted life to his family. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Albert, Robert, Stephen, Bernie Krivda and Dolores Davenport. Family and friends will gather from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday, April 17, 2023, at STRIFFLERS OF WHITE OAK CREMATION AND MORTUARY SERVICES INC., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177). A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Mary, Mother of God Parish, Corpus Christi Church, 2515 Versailles Ave., McKeesport, PA 15131.
