Marla L. Ryan – Jeannette, formerly of Monessen

Marla L. Ryan, of Jeannette, formerly of Monessen, has passed away. She was a daughter of the late Nicholas and Martha Puleo. She is survived by her son, Vincent; and her very special grandson, Cole; nephew, Edward Kerestes; niece, Victoria Kerestes and Tina Ryan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Ryan; and her sister, Karen Kerestes. It seemed that Marla’s destiny was that of an educator. For 15 years, she taught in the Monessen, Belle Vernon and East Allegheny school districts as an English/speech teacher who was dedicated to her work. For the last 23 years, she worked for a nonprofit as director of education, overseeing three major divisions of the organization. RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC., 1209 Grand Blvd., Monessen, was entrusted with the arrangements. Per her wishes, there will be no public viewing, and services are at her family’s convenience.
