Services were held privately for Darla J. Parasolick Bush, 56, of Bridgeville, formerly of Monongahela, who passed away in her home on Tuesday April 4, 2023. Born in New Eagle on May 8, 1966, she is the daughter of Katherine A. Michalic Parasolick of Monongahela, Carroll Township, and the late Joseph P. Parasolick, who passed away Dec. 20, 2010. A 1984 graduate of Ringgold High School, Darla went on to attend the former Pittsburgh Beauty Academy in Charleroi, with a degree in cosmetology. She worked as a phlebotomist and an LPN at Presbyterian Senior Care in Washington. She loved hiking, skiing, fishing, working out and everything outdoors. In addition to her mother, Darla is survived by her son, Richard Solomon (Cassie) of Charleroi; a daughter, Ashley Gamboa (Eric) of Charleroi; significant other, Steve Peckyno of Bridgeville; brother, Dean Parasolick (Renee Petticord) of New Eagle; two sisters, Debbie Hazy (Greg) of Fallowfield Township, and Dawn Parasolick and fiancé Dan of Finleyville; her three loving grandchildren who meant the world to her, Maddie Solomon, Ava Solomon and Gustavo Gamboa; her children’s father, Rick Solomon of Monongahela; along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Deanne Lynn Parasolick, who passed away Dec. 8, 2010. Interment was held in Monongahela Cemetery.
