Gregory Karl Gerdish, 73, of Allenport, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2023, in Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital. Born in Charle- roi on Sept. 16, 1949, Greg was the son of the late Clem and Dolly Magruda Gerdish. Greg loved listening to classic rock and was an avid car enthusiast. He owned his own garage, Gerdish Auto Repair, for many years in Roscoe until his retirement and enjoyed working on his own cars during his retirement years. Surviving to cherish Greg’s memory are his wife, Ginger Gerdish; two sons, Dillon Gerdish and Chad (Laura) Gerdish; his brother, Gerald Gerdish; brother-in-law, Alan (Teri) Essey; brother-in-law, Wade (Tracy) Francis; sister-in-law, Kitty Gerdish; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Greg was preceded in death by his brother, Alan; and sister, Geraldine Gerdish. Friends and family will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at HOGAN-MELENYZER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES INC., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, PA 15022. A prayer service will be conducted in the funeral home at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.hogan-melenyzer.com. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please donate to a charity of your choice in Greg’s name.
