Rainbow VFC’s new truck perfect for use in White Oak

Rainbow Volunteer Fire Co. has a new tool to use while protecting the people and homes of White Oak Borough. The fire department recently acquired a new Pierce fire truck with a 55-foot ladder. The truck can pump 2,000 gallons of water per minute onto a fire. Rainbow fire Chief Brandon Schmidt said the fire company needed to replace its previous truck due to state regulations. The state does not permit fire trucks more than 20 years old to serve as a fire company’s front-line apparatus.
