T-shirt sale to benefit Elizabeth Forward Class of 2023

There’s no doubt that Elizabeth Forward’s senior class has been through a turbulent four years. Just a few years after the COVID-19 pandemic derailed their introduction to high school, the seniors are now dealing with another blow after a devastating fire at the high school in February shuttered the building one again.
The generosity of the Mon Valley, as well as the surrounding community, has shone through in the aftermath of the unfortunate event, as there have been fundraisers pouring in money from all over to assist the district and its students. Some students have even chipped in to help, and that’s exactly what senior Jenna DeSimone is doing with her mother, Jessica Walter.
Walter and DeSimone both work with the Elizabeth Township Fire Department — Walter is a firefighter and DeSimone is a junior firefighter — and decided to design shirts to be bought by donations for the entirety of Elizabeth Forward’s senior class to commemorate the Class of 2023.
Shirts can be donated to seniors for $21 in youth small to adult XL, $23 for 2XL and $25 for 3XL. Shirt pick-ups are currently scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 15 at the Elizabeth Township Fire Department’s Central Station, 425 Scenery Drive.
For more information, go to the Elizabeth Township Fire Department’s Facebook page, or visit https://square.link/u/4OIe6M9t to donate.
