Ringgold tops Bishop Canevin in OT to win PIHL Division 2 title

While Collin Moffett was Superman throughout the game, it was Caden Doran lacing up his cape and providing the heroics for the Ringgold hockey team Tuesday night. Doran let loose a shot from the blue line with 7:01 remaining in overtime that somehow eluded Bishop Canevin goalie Dom Frizzi’s glove to give the Rams a thrilling 4-3 overtime win over the Crusaders to capture the PIHL Division 2 championship at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex. Doran’s goal, assisted by LJ Crouch, sent the Ringgold faithful and team into a frenzy and snatched the momentum the Crusaders carried into the extra period.
