Elizabeth Twp. clarifies new ZIP code policy

Elizabeth Township commissioners offered updates on their “preferred last line” address efforts as well as potential tree replacements for the ones that came down at the community center and a recycling container clause that could find its way into the garbage contract during Monday night’s workshop meeting.  Vice President Josh Wells and Commissioner Chris Thoma recently announced that residents in the 15135 ZIP code could now label their address as Elizabeth Township rather than McKeesport or Boston. They emphasized that they’re looking for consistency in addresses by reaching out to realtors and Allegheny County, but they also informed citizens that McKeesport and Boston are still suitable for addresses in the 15135 ZIP code.
