John J. “Bugo” Pensis, 92, of Englewood, Fla., formerly of Fallowfield Township, died unexpectedly Saturday, March 18, 2023. John retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel in Allenport as a welder. He loved living in sunny Florida with his bride of 70 years, Helen Krupensky Pensis. John was always found sitting on his swing under his oak tree where he was often joined by the neighbors, squirrels and birds. John’s passion was collecting and showing his antique cars. He carried pictures of his 1931 Alfa Romeo, 1982 DeLorean and 1985 Ford Tiffany. He amassed over 200 trophies and “Best of Show” awards. Prior to moving to Florida, John’s hobby was riding his horses in the Allegheny Mountains and Raystown Lake. Although cars and horses were John’s passions, nothing was more loved or important to him than his family. He still carried his wife’s high school graduation picture in his wallet. He was a devoted husband, father, pappy, great-grandfather and friend. He always had a love for life, a smile on his face and a warm and generous heart. He is survived by his wife, Helen Krupensky Pensis; daughters, Paula (David) Hess and granddaughter, Kelly Hess; Johna (David) Pellegrini, granddaughter Delayna Pellegrini and great-grandsons Kase and Asher; Bobbi (David) Flament, granddaughter Ella and grandson Tanner, grandson Bryan (Trish) Bozovich, and great-grandchildren Deborah and Grant. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah; brother, Charles; and parents, Jeremie and Irene Pensis. Services will be private with a celebration of life to be held at a later date. Memories and condolences can be shared at www.thompson-marodi.com. Arrangements in care of THOMPSON-MARODI FUNERAL HOME, 809 Main St., Bentleyville, 724-239-2255.
