Eric M. Sauritch – Formerly of North Charleroi

Eric M. Sauritch 57, formerly of North Charleroi, passed away on Friday, Feb. 24, 2023, in Uniontown. Born on Sept. 3, 1965, he was the son of the late Mane-fred and Carol Sauritch. Eric was a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne as well as the 101st Airborne. He was a sergeant-at-arms in the 82nd Airborne Division, a proud member of the Lions Club and a member of the disabled veterans of Fayette County. He worked as a direct support lead at Step By Step with special residents Chris and Jeremy. Eric loved nature, hiking, birds, camping, playing guitar and was a very giving, caring man who helped so many people throughout his life. He had a master’s degree in environmental science from California University of Pennsylvania. He is survived by his sister, Carole (Glenn) Poston of Winter Garden, Fla.; and niece, Courtney Todd, of Clermont, Fla. He will be sadly missed by best friend, Steve Pollacci; girlfriend, Jackie Kangas; and all of the Sauritch family and friends. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 22, at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Donations may be made to the 82nd Airborne Association, Leonard A Funk, Western PA Chapter, 147 Greenlea Drive, Moon Twp., PA 15108. Arrangements entrusted to CARL J.
