Dolores J. Rager – Brownsville

Dolores J. Rager, 90, of Brownsville passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at home. Born in Brownsville Nov. 15, 1932, she was the daughter of Hollister Washington and Bessie Staley Barger Jr. Dolores enjoyed sewing and writing poetry. She is survived by two daughters, Robin Lee (Jack) Yorty of Erie and Wendy Renee (Mark) Haywood of Centerville; and a son, Wesley Dale (Sherri) Rager Jr. of Coal Center; six grandchildren, Brian (Joann) Yorty, Kimberly (Fernando) Melaragno, Wesley Scott Rager, Major Joshua (Audra) Rager, Melissa (Carey) Zivkovich and Sergeant David (Cheyenne) Rager; 15 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Charles, James and Daniel Barger; and a sister, Dianna Lee Yancec. Dolores was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Wesley Dale Ragar Sr., who passed on Jan. 22, 2023. She is also preceded in death by four brothers, George, Paul, Robert and Kenneth Barger; and three sisters, Dorothy Sonnier, Bessie Rosetta Monkovich and Emeryetta Timms. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to MELENYZER FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1008 Furlong Ave., Roscoe.
