McKeesport students ready for dress shopping, high tea

With prom season approaching, members of McKeesport Area Shared Ministry UMC are preparing for a stylish Project Prom day this year. Through the church, the school district, McKeesport UPMC, the McKeesport fire department and other supporters, 25 high schoolers will gather March 25 to peruse new prom dresses and dine in the debonair trappings of English high tea — free of charge. “It’s a way to make them feel special,” judge and organizer David Spurgeon said. “It’s a special night, a special time in your life, and we want to highlight it as much as we can.”
