Charleroi students learn the value of (pizza) pie

Third-grade students at Charleroi Elementary Center enjoyed more than your average pizza party on Friday. It wasn’t just a party, but part of a pizza-inspired lesson plan that encompassed reading, math and history led by third-grade teachers Kendra Hartley, Holly Caruso, Meghan Rigatti and April Wright. All 90 students in third grade ended Friday by making personal pizzas that were hot, boxed up and ready to take home for an after-school snack.
