No gun discovered after Charleroi school lockdown

Teachers at Charleroi Middle School were informed by a male student in homeroom Thursday morning that one of his classmates may have brought a gun to school. Superintendent Dr. Ed Zelich sent out a districtwide notice following the incident. “It is our practice as a district to keep parents and guardians informed about their students’ safety at all times, and we felt it was important to inform you of an incident that took place this afternoon at the Charleroi Area Middle School,” the letter states.
