Fire damages Washington Township home

Multiple fire departments from the Mon Valley were called to a blaze shortly after 7 a.m. Wednesday in the 1300 block of Fayette Avenue in Washington Township, Fayette County. It was reported one person suffered a minor injury. Washington Township firefighters were assisted by firefighters from Fayette City, Belle Vernon, North Belle Vernon, Perry Township, Monessen No. 1 and Hilltop and Rostraver Central. Washington Township police, along with Rostraver/West Newton EMS and Allegheny Health Network Mobile Paramedic also assisted.
