Area teams in for long haul for PIAA openers

Seven local basketball teams have advanced to the PIAA Tournament beginning this weekend, with six of them hitting the road for long road trips. The lone exception will be the McKeesport girls. The Tigers (21-5) will host Northern York (21-4) at Neenie Campbell Gymnasium at 2 p.m. Saturday. The Polar Bears finished as the fourth-place team from District 3, while McKeesport is the third-place squad from the WPIAL (District 7).
