Paul D. Scagline – Belle Vernon

Paul D. Scagline, 89, of Belle Vernon, passed away Sunday, Feb. 26, 2023, at Premier Washington Health Center, Washington. Born Nov. 5, 1933, in Belle Vernon, he was the son of the late Frank and Anna DeRose Scaglione. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Mr. Scagline was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church. Mr. Scagline was a retired long-haul truck driver and car salesman. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Air Force from 1952-57, and was a member of American Legion Post 659 in Belle Vernon. He is survived by his children, Helen Evans of Belle Vernon, Samuel Scagline of Charleroi, Paula and Danny McPartland of Greensburg, Mary Henderson of Charleroi and Frances Scagline of Dawson; brother, Frank Scaglione of Belle Vernon; brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Joan Scaglione of Belle Vernon; 26 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Romaine Boyce Scagline; and three children, Russell H. Boyce, Wanetta “Pete” Scagline and Paul T. Scagline. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 6, 2023, followed by funeral services at 7:30 p.m. at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Interment will take place in the Cemetery of the Alleghenies. American Legion Post 659 in Belle Vernon will conduct services at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
