Ida Jean McCormley, 84, of North Huntingdon, formerly of North Versailles, passed away Sunday, Feb. 12, 2023. She was born Oct. 15, 1938, in Elizabeth and was daughter to the late Benjamin and Miriam Herron Silberman. She was a graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School. Ida was a private secretary for the Pennsylvania Industrial Chemical Company where she met the “love of her life” who at the time was a Resin Chemist in the lab at Picco. She was the wife to the late Dr. Robert “Arch” McCormley for over 54 years. Ida is survived by her children, Dr. Ben (Kristin) McCormely, Dr. Michelle (Jeff) Kisiel-Cohen and Amy O’Hara, PhD.; grandchildren, Alex, Sarah and Katie Kisiel, Matthew and Jacob McCormley and Eva and Aengus O’Hara; sister, Joan Finkel; and nieces and nephews. There is no visitation at this time. Arrangements are by GILBERT FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY INC., 1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131, 412-672-6322, Troy J. Gilbert, director. A private entombment will take place in the Good Shepherd Cemetery Mausoleum, Monroeville. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to a charity of your choice.
