Albert G. Lupori, 87, of Dunlevy, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2023, in Dunlevy Manor. A son of the late Geno and Mary Manzini Lupori, he was born in Dunlevy on Oct. 5, 1935. A lifelong resident of Dunlevy, Al was a member of the Allenport Rod and Gun Club, the Charleroi Boosters, and the Dunlevy Garibaldi Club where he was a member of their golf league for over 20 years. He also coached multiple soccer teams, played for the Dunlevy Redbirds, started the recreational soccer league in Dunlevy, and followed all soccer teams, including Seton Hill and Cal U. He once coached the Dunlevy Redbird All Star team and played the Germany National team at Charleroi Stadium to a 3 – 3 tie. Al had been employed for Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel as an accountant, retiring in 1997. He is survived by a daughter and son in-law, Torey and Ron Romito of North Charleroi; a son, Rick Lupori of San Diego, Calif.; three grandchildren, Devon (Casey) Powell of Charleroi, Brittany Lemley of Monongahela, and Bradon (Elizabeth) Romito of Monongahela; six great-grandchildren, Victoria Powell, London Powell, Mikayla Romito, Robert Lemley IV, Jordan Lemley and Braylynn Romito; and his twin brothers and sisters in-law, Ron and Adeline Lupori of Georgia and Don and Phyllis Lupori of Sumter, S.C. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Darla I. Lupori, on April 4, 2018. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2023, at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300, www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory.com. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor Sandy Fitzgibbons officiating.
