Monessen stands to benefit from HUD project

Late last week the Distressed Cities and Persistent Poverty Technical Assistance program assigned to Monessen came to town to get a better idea of how the city operates. On Friday, Monessen Mayor Ron Mozer invited leaders of the Nehemiah of Monessen Community Development Corporation to join consultants from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to get a real feel of everything going on in town to find out what can be done to bring improvements.
