Meal Train supports McKeesport police

A group of local organizations and small businesses announced an effort this week to continue to offer support for McKeesport police Officer Chuck Thomas, as well as the entire police Department. City police officers came back to the job this week, and were met with strong support from the community. McKeesport’s police force was recently given some time off to mourn the loss of Officer Sean Sluganski and to support Thomas. Sluganski was fatally shot Feb. 6 while in the line of duty, and Thomas suffered a non-fatal gunshot wound. The alleged shooter is awaiting trial.
