Sharon Ann Culp Griffith – Charleroi

By obits

Sharon Ann Culp Griffith, 72, of Charleroi went to be with Lord on Feb. 21, 2023, after a brief battle with cancer, her loving family by her side. Sharon was born in North Charleroi, on Oct. 10, 1950, the older of two daughters of the late Ethan and Gwendolyn Culp of North Charleroi. Sharon was a 1968 graduate of Charleroi Area High School. She went on to obtain her associate degree in floral design. Later in life, she became a job coach for Life’s Work in Monessen, where she dedicated many years to aiding disabled adults. Sharon devoted her entire life to her husband, children, grandchildren, family and friends. Sharon was an advocate for all of those with special needs. She was a dedicated homemaker and raised her family with love, traditional values, and home-cooked meals. Sharon held dear to her heart God, her pets (past and present), her country and her grandchildren more than anything. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Thomas; her three daughters, Melanie Griffith of Monessen, Michelle Grias (Tom) of Prince George, Va., Malinda Griffith (partner, Brandon Fortunato) of Imperial, Pa.; her two grandchildren, Alexis and Tommy Grias, of Prince George, Va.; and her sister, Taryn Grant (Robert) of Charleroi; as well as numerous extended family members that she so dearly loved. To honor her wishes, from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023, there will be a short visitation open to all who loved her at First Christian Church at 61 Walnut Ridge Road, Charleroi, PA 15022. A private service is to follow. In lieu of flowers, Sharon requested donations be made to Newlifeoptions.net, a cause that was near and dear to her. Sharon would want everyone who knew and loved her to visit the ocean, be faithful to God, have a cup of tea, kiss your loved ones, and give your doggies a pat on the head. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.hogan-melenyzer.com.
