North Charleroi looks ahead with vacancies filled

North Charleroi Council plans to move full speed ahead — but members are asking for patience as they settle into their new roles. Earlier this month, council filled its last three vacancies, appointing Mark Boyle and Russ Pendo as councilmen and selecting Steve Sergi, a former North Charleroi councilman, as the borough’s new mayor. Those appointments were unanimously made Feb. 1 by President Fred Schwalb, Vice President Joseph Duche and Mary Altemara.
