Dorothey Jane Condie, 86, of Monongahela, died Friday, Feb. 3, 2023, at Hallsworth House in Monessen. She was born June 22, 1936, in Monongahela, daughter of William James Sr. and Anna May Warren McCallister. Dorothey retired from Alcoa Corporation in Pittsburgh in 1991 with 30 years of employment. She was active in the senior center, where she formerly served as its treasurer. She loved shopping for purses, clothing and jewelry, especially on QVC. Dorothey enjoyed a good dessert and a lively game of bingo. She is survived by her son-in-law, Roger Edwin Smith of Monongahela; two grandchildren, Jason Roger Smith and wife Jennifer Elizabeth of West Newton, and Samantha Ann Smith of Brownsville; two great-grandchildren, Emma Jennifer and Joseph Jason Smith; brother, William James McCallister Jr. of Okhui, N.M. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Condie; and daughter, Ann Theresa Smith, who died Dec. 4, 2018. Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023, at Carroll Township American Legion, 1938 State Route 2023, Monongahela (Dunkirk). Arrangements are entrusted to FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38501.
