Francis Wilford McKenna, 82, of Avon Lake, peacefully passed away after a brief illness on Sunday, Feb. 12, 2023. He was born Oct. 23, 1940, to parents Francis and Mary (neé Kistler) McKenna in Charleroi. Francis graduated from Charleroi High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was employed as a purchasing agent for Crescor until retirement. Francis enjoyed golf, baseball, woodworking (doll houses and furniture) and found joy spending time with his grandchildren and their many activities. He is survived by his beloved wife, Alice (neé Mascherma); loving children, Kimberly Myers (Timothy), Marcie Kobak (Jeffrey) and Kathleen Borchers (Jeffrey); cherished grandchildren, Frances, Jackson, Chase, Jeffrey, Devan, Erika, Jett, Eve, Elena, Sierra, Macy, Brittany, McKenzie, Lucas and Bryce; and dear siblings, Floyd (Francee), Nancy Basile, Shirley McKenna and Eileen Nucci (Ron). He was preceded in death by his beloved parents and his brother, Forrest. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that you please take someone you love golfing or out to a ball game. Friends and family may call for a visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 20, 2023, at BUSCH FUNERAL HOME, 163 Avon Belden Road, Avon Lake, OH 44012. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2023, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, www.buschcares.com, 440-933-3202.
