The Ringgold School Board accepted the resignation of its youngest member Wednesday.
Harley Bobnar will step down Feb. 28 after serving three years on the board.
Bobnar explained that she’s entering a new chapter in life, as she plans to get married and move to Bethel Park with her soon-to-be husband.
“Nothing crazy,” Bobnar said. “Just getting married and moving with my fiance.”
Bobnar, a Duquesne University neuroscience graduate, was elected in 2019 at 24 years old. She ran on offering diverse curriculums that matched specific student needs.
She served throughout her graduate program as well as the pandemic, saying her proudest work with the board came with their persistence through COVID.
“I’d have to say I was proudest of coming through COVID,” Bobnar said. “It was a rough two years. But we got out of it and we’re still doing our best to give these kids a quality education.”
