Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Virginia Bozicevic – White Oak

Elizabeth “Betty” Virginia Bozicevic, 88, of White Oak, died on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2023. She was born in Yukon, Pa. on Jan. 12, 1935 and is the daughter of the late Herman Bushnell and Mary Ciotti Bushnell Marcenelle. At the age of 13, she moved to Glassport where she graduated from high school in 1952. Betty married Frank Ambrose Bozicevic in 1954 and was employed by Westinghouse Nuclear Center in Monroeville as a word processor. After retirement, Betty became a caregiver to several family members, including her grandchildren whom she adored. She enjoyed cooking, baking, walking, music and her most favorite, dancing. Betty was proud of her Italian heritage and embraced her husband’s Croatian traditions. She was involved with the Tamburitzans and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the CFU Lodge 146 in Versailles and a social member of the CFU 432 in Yukon. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Ambrose Bozicevic, who passed away in 1997. In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by her stepfather, Philip Marcenelle and step siblings, Anthony Marcenelle and Mary Ann Vogt. Betty is survived by her children, Denise (Ed) Cartwright of North Huntingdon, Susan (Chip) Wagner of White Oak, Sharon Bozicevic of Bloomfield, Pa., and Frank (Erin) Bozicevic of Monroeville; grandchildren, Eddie (Daniela) Cartwright, Alex Cartwright, Nicholas (Maria) Williams, Benjamin (Meghan) Wagner, Frankie Bozicevic, Mark Bozicevic, Ryan Bozicevic and Daniel Bozicevic; great-grandsons, Greyson and Hudson Williams; stepbrother, Michael Marcenelle; and nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Mary, Mother of God Parish, St. Angela Merici Church, 1640 Fawcett Ave., White Oak, PA 15131, at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 17, 2023. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Port Vue. Arrangements are being handled by STRIFFLERS OF WHITE OAK CREMATION AND MORTUARY SERVICES INC., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177).
