Police chief says school appears structurally sound

Elizabeth Township’s police chief updated Forward Township residents on fire damage at Elizabeth Forward High School during Monday’s supervisors meeting. The building sustained severe damage in a four-alarm fire Sunday morning. Smoke and flames tore through the auditorium, leaving a portion of the school in ruin. Officials worried the disaster undermined the structural integrity of the auditorium and surrounding rooms. Two large walls sustained serious damage, prompting concerns about partial collapse.
