Kerry L. Kiefer, 65, of Belle Vernon, passed away on Friday, Feb. 10, 2023, in Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital. He was born June 7, 1957, to the late Rodney L. and Joan P. Kiefer. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Anne Pohlot and John and Lavurn Kiefer. Kerry was a 1975 graduate of Belle Vernon High School. He was an avid model train and classic car enthusiast. He was baptized Russian Orthodox and maintained a Christian lifestyle. He worked as a steelworker for Latrobe Specialty Steel Company. He had also worked at U.S. Steel National Plant of McKeesport, and early in his working career at various auto dealerships’ parts and service departments. Survivors include his aunts, Judy Pohlot and Olive Staley, both of Monessen, and Pamela Hunnell, who was a very special part of his life. He also will be sadly missed by his dog, Conrad, and his bird, Dayton. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC., 1209 Grand Blvd., Monessen, where friends will be welcomed from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2023. Services will be held in the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, 2023. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
