Earlene F. McCreary Kalakewich, 75, of Belle Vernon, passed away Sunday, Feb. 12, 2023, at Penn Highlands Mon Valley, Monongahela, surrounded by her loving family. Born Jan. 18, 1948, in North Charleroi, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Bernice Gohosky McCreary. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Earlene was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church in Belle Vernon and the Belle Vernon Recreation Board. Earlene was a kind and caring mother of three sons, however, many people considered Earlene their “second mother.” Additionally, Earlene enjoyed being a homemaker and taking care of her family while always putting the needs of others before her own. She is survived by her three sons and daughter-in-law, Dr. Ryan Douglas and Nicole Kalakewich of Pittsburgh, Bret Michael Kalakewich of Belle Vernon and Cody Garrett Kalakewich of Las Vegas, Nev.; granddaughter, Londyn Nouvelle Kalakewich; and two brothers, Barry McCreary of Arnold City and Arnie Santavicca of Arnold City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Doug Kalakewich on March 14, 2016; and two brothers, Dale McCreary and Earl McCreary. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2023, at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183.
