Sean David Bishop, 56, a longtime resident of Belle Vernon, passed away peacefully in his Grove City home under hospice care Tuesday, Jan. 31. He was born June 15, 1966, in Beaufort, S.C. He was a 1984 graduate of Belle Vernon Area High School. He was employed by Valdiserri’s Bakery for 10 years. In 2016, Sean moved to Grove City, Pa. Sean was an enthusiastic Pittsburgh sports fan. He also cheered on the Boston Red Sox and Clemson Tigers. He loved spending time drinking coffee and hanging out with friends. He enjoyed playing cards, listening to music and telling jokes. Sean was an avid bowler and bowled in several leagues when he lived in Belle Vernon. Later, he enjoyed Wii bowling with friends and family. Sean is survived by his three older brothers, Richard of Belle Vernon, Adam (Francine) of Washington, and Eric (Lori) of Grove City, Pa. He is also survived by seven nieces, four great-nephews and two great-nieces. Sean was preceded in death by his parents, Richard A. Bishop and Jean B. (Dolfi) Bishop. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial Mass which will be held for Sean at St. Sebastian Church, 801 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, PA 15012, at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023.
