Monessen prepares anniversary events

Monessen council recently voted to schedule several events in the city for its 125th anniversary. With celebrations planned throughout the year, getting events approved early ensures that plans go well. There were four events council approved late last month, and in each vote the motion made clear that approval meant the specific site and date would be reserved at no cost. The votes also enable food vendors with appropriate licensing, a safe food certificate from the city and insurance to secure dates and get everything on file with the city as necessary.
