‘Yellow house’ razed in Monongahela

The “yellow house” in Monongahela is finally gone. The city oversaw the demolition of 210 Ninth St., also known the “yellow house” Thursday after months of requests and planning. The abandoned house had become a nuisance property, drawing resident complaints over the last 14 years. Neighbors worried the structure attracted rodents, and many believed its deteriorated condition posed a safety issue for nearby homes.
