Sean David Bishop, 56, passed away peacefully in his Grove City home under hospice care on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2023. He was born June 15, 1966, in Beaufort, S.C. He was a 1984 graduate of Belle Vernon High School. He was employed by Valdiserri’s Bakery for 10 years. In 2016, Sean moved to Grove City, Pa. Sean was an enthusiastic Pittsburgh sports fan. He also cheered on the Boston Red Sox and Clemson Tigers. He loved spending time drinking coffee and hanging out with friends. Sean was an avid bowler and bowled in several leagues when he lived in Belle Vernon. Later he enjoyed Wii bowling with friends and family. Sean is survived by three brothers, Richard of Belle Vernon, Adam (Francine) of Washington, Pa., and Eric (Lori) of Grove City. He is also survived by seven nieces, four great-nephews and two great-nieces. Sean was preceded in death by his parents, Richard A. Bishop and Jean B. (Dolfi) Bishop. Sean’s family would like to extend our appreciation and thanks to Beloved Disciple-Legion of Mary and the East Main Church deacons for your visits and prayers over years. Also, thank you to DON Services and Sean’s many devoted caregivers, especially his current caregivers, Tracy, Dan, Shae, Jenn and Paul. In lieu of flowers, Sean asked that donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation in memory of his mother, Jean. A Mass of Christian burial will be held in The Church of The Beloved Disciple, 1310 S. Center St. Ext., Grove City, PA 16127, at noon Friday, Feb. 3, 2023. The family will receive friends in the Day Chapel of the church from 11 a.m. until the time of service at noon Friday. Burial in Union Home Cemetery, Wolf Creek Township. Arrangements by CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME INC., 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.
