Joan Anna Stewart – Rostraver Township

Joan Anna Stewart, 87, of Rostraver Township, died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2023. Born in Pittsburgh on July 10, 1935, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna Klessen Stepnick. Joan was a telephone operator and worked at Bell Telephone. She loved bingo, fishing and driving around in her golf cart. She and her late husband, Donald, enjoyed walking along the beach when they vacationed in St. Augustine, Fla. She is survived by her children, Deborah Barron of Rostraver, Donald H. (Christine) Stewart Jr. of Addison and James K. (Joyce) Stewart of Portersville; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald H. Stewart Sr.; sister, Jean; brothers, Robert and Buzzy Stepnick; and her son-in-law, Robin C. Barron. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 10, 2023, in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Road, Bridgeville for both Joan Anna Stewart and Donald H. Stewart Sr., followed by military honors. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to JAMES C.
