Janet Youshock Bitonti, 87, of Wake Forest, N.C., formerly of Belle Vernon, passed away Sunday, Jan. 29, 2023, at WakeMed, Raleigh, N.C. Born June 8, 1935, in North Charleroi, she was the daughter of the late John and Ann Sivie Youshock. A resident of Wake Forest for the past 11 years, Mrs. Bitonti was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, Belle Vernon, a homemaker, a member of the Valley Garden Club, an avid bingo player at Washington Township Fire Department, involved with Girl Scouts and enjoyed volunteering at the Mon Valley Hospital gift shop. She is survived by her son, Michael S. Bitonti of Columbia, S.C.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen and Brian Dixon of Rolesville, N.C., Tracy and Rick Lower of Washington D.C.; two grandchildren, Shawn M. Dixon and Matthew S. Dixon; and a brother, John “Jack” Youshock of Belle Vernon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel M. Bitonti. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, 2023, at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC with the Rev. Michael J. Crookston of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church officiating.
