Connie Lee Wood Scaccia – North Belle Vernon

Connie Lee Wood Scaccia, 76, of North Belle Vernon, passed away Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023, at her home. Born Nov. 23, 1946, in Princeton, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Thomas Fred Wood Jr. and Lillian Rose Davidson Wood. A resident of Belle Vernon for the past 54 years and formerly of Bluefield, W.Va., Mrs. Scaccia was a member of First Baptist Church in Belle Vernon. Connie worked in the assembly line at a mattress factory, enjoyed puzzles, was a seamstress and made quilts. She is survived by her husband, Carmen Scaccia, to whom she was married for 53 years; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl and Jeff Anthony of Benton, Ark., and Christi and Luis Zhicay of Belle Vernon; three grandchildren, Jordan Amen, Morgan Anthony and Samuel Ali; and two great-grandchildren, Sadie and  Julia Amen. She was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Fred Wood III; sister, Gayle Wood; and a baby boy. Visitation will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, 2023, followed by funeral services at 1 p.m. with Pastor Earl Rosenbalm at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183.
