Monessen council considers tennis court repairs

Monessen City Council will look for matching grant funds to pair up with American Rescue Plan money to resurface the tennis courts at City Park. Councilman Don Gregor, who has worked to organize this project for several months, presented three options to renovate the courts to council last week. The possible projects range in price from applying a few band-aids for roughly $30,000 to at least $60,000 to install decking tiles that would permit multiple types of sports to be played on the courts.
