Dennis R. Swalin Monessen

Dennis R. Swalin, 75, of Monessen, passed away on Friday, Jan. 27, 2023, in Mon Valley Care Center. He was born on Dec. 31, 1947, in Monessen, son of the late Elfing and Yolanda Dustolfo Swalin. He was a member of Word of Life Church in Hempfield and a 1965 graduate of Monessen High School. Dennis was a United States Navy veteran and served his country during Vietnam. He worked as an engineer throughout the nuclear energy field. Surviving are his loving wife of 35 years, Sharon (Gido) Swalin; son, Sean (Melissa) Swalin of San Francisco; three grandchildren, Zachary, Gabriella and Brody; and sister, Joyce Wassilchak of North Carolina. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard G. Swalin. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2023, at DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen. Funeral services will be held beginning at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023, in the funeral home, with Pastor Tom Walters officiating.
