Linda Cappelli Vernet – Rostraver Township, formerly of Charleroi

Linda Cappelli Vernet, 72, of Rostraver Township, formerly of Charleroi, died Jan. 26, 2023, after a long battle with cancer. Born April 14, 1950, in Charleroi, she was the daughter of the late Leo Cappelli and Sara Maxon Cappelli Morgan. Linda was a 1968 graduate of Charleroi High School and attended California University. She retired from Verizon in 2005. Linda was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church in Monessen and several social clubs. Linda will be remembered as the outgoing person who was loved by everyone she met. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, reading, sewing, quilting, playing cards and visiting casinos. Her greatest joy was making memories with her beloved grandchildren, to whom she was known as “Maga.” In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Vernet; son-in-law, Michael Pajewski; and stepfather, Dallas Morgan. She is survived by two daughters, Lisa (Jason) Dacko of Newell and Jennifer (Jonathan) Dudzinski of Rostraver Township; stepdaughter, Jennifer Pajewski of Indiana Township; stepson and fiancé, Joe Vernet and Olivia Allison of Pittsburgh; and her pride and joy, grandchildren, Max Dacko, Ava and Nathan Dudzinski and Jordan Pajewski. Also surviving are a sister, Barbara (Dean) Smith of Connecticut; brothers, Bob (Kathy) Cappelli of Florida, and Leo (Laurie) Cappelli of Florida; several nieces and nephews; two great-nieces, three great-nephews and countless friends. Family and friends will be received from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, March 2, 2023, at MELENYZER FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 1008 Furlong Ave., Roscoe, with a memorial service at 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Jereme Dudzinski Foundation, http://www.jeremedudzinskifoundation.com.
