Ida Evena Ellis, 55, of Monessen, went home to be with the Lord on Jan. 24, 2023, peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born June 19, 1967, in Monessen, the daughter of the late Leroy and Thelma Majors. She also was the baby sister of the late Beverly Towler, Cheryl Majors, Elizabeth Majors, Alice Majors, Thomas Majors and Daniel Majors. She got her GED in Monessen. Ida leaves to cherish her beautiful memory five children, Shawnkia Majors and Jasmine Ellis of Belle Vernon, O’Shaey Ellis of Monessen, Shantal Majors of West Mifflin and Robert Ellis Jr. of Bentleyville; her ex-husband/close friend Robert Ellis Sr.; two brothers, Ronald Smith and Percy Majors, both of Monessen; three sisters, Hilda Majors of Monessen, Cora Lawson of Greensburg and Martha Jackson of Donora; 14 beautiful grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; and two loving godchildren, Ernestine Ellis and Marquell Greene. Viewing will take place from 10:30 a.m. to noon Monday, Jan. 30, 2023, with a service starting at noon at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 230 Reed Ave., Monessen. Elder Recardo Hall, the pastor of Newness of Life, will officiate. Celebration of life has been gently placed in the hands of HOUSE OF JACKSON MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 546 Thompson Ave., Donora, 724-379-5420, Karl Jackson, funeral director.
