Daniel Danny ‘Boom Boom’ Kuchera – Monessen

After a lengthy battle with Cancer, Daniel Wayne “Boom Boom” Kuchera of Monessen passed away comfortably at Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital. He was the son of the late Robert and Margaret Kuchera. Daniel was married to the love of his life, Sharon Wise Kuchera, who passed away shortly after him. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army. He held numerous positions and was past commander of American Legion Post 22 in Charleroi, served on the Charleroi Veterans Council and was an aide for the commander for the 25th District. He retired from Corning Glass Works after 30 years. A 1974 graduate of Charleroi High School, he enjoyed being outside gardening, feeding the birds and spending time with his dogs, Bugsy and Rambo. Danny also loved his tropical fish. He was a member of the Eagles and Croatian Club of Monessen, also a life member of American Legion Post 22. Surviving are his daughters, Tina (William Vetter) and Krystal Irwin; a son, Mark Yonko; nieces, Sharon M. Wise, whom he called his angel, Erica R. Wise; granddaughter, Nicole Koster; great-granddaughter, Lily Koster; and many more who loved him dearly. He had a zest for life and made everyone around him happy. The family of Daniel and Sharon Kuchera will welcome friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023, at RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC., 1209 Grand Blvd., Monessen. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations in their name to the American Cancer Society or the Humane Society of the United States.
