Wesley Dale Rager Sr. – Brownsville

Wesley Dale Rager Sr., 90, of Brownsville, passed away at his home on Sun-day, Jan. 22, 2023. Born in Fredericktown on Jan. 1, 1933, he was the son of Albert Dale and Mildred Ruth Scholz Rager. Wesley was a Korean War veteran, having served with the U.S. Army. He was retired from the Koppers plant, having worked in the coke division. Wesley was a member of Centerville American Legion and the Bricklayers Union. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Dolores J. Barger Rager; two daughters, Robin Lee (Jack) Yorty of Erie and Wendy Renee (Mark) Haywood of Centerville; and a son, Wesley Dale (Sherri) Rager Jr. of Coal Center; six grandchildren, Brian (Joann) Yorty, Kimberly (Fernando) Melaragno, Wesley Scott Rager, Maj. Joshua (Audra) Rager, Melissa (Carey) Zivkovich and Sgt. David (Cheyenne) Rager; 15 great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Jane Rager. Wesley was preceded in death by his brother, Dalbert George Rager. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
