Nancy L. Trombino, 87, of Fairhope, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2023. A daughter of the late Llewellyn and Margaret Johnston Pascoe, she was born in Fayette City on June 29, 1935. Living most of her adult life in Belle Vernon, Nancy was an active member of First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon, where she was a Sunday school teacher for 51 years, a member of the United Methodist Women and was secretary of the church council for many years. She was an avid reader, loved to bake and always enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She is survived by two daughters and sons in-law, Cindy and Ken Smithhammer of Latrobe, and Kim and Wayne Wichterman of Perryopolis; two sons and a daughter in-law, James L. and Sheila Trombino of Greer, S.C., and Vince Trombino of Fairhope; a brother, Robert Pascoe of San Bruno, Calif.; five grandchildren, Robert (Valarie) Wichterman, Ryan Wichterman, K.C. Smithhammer, Andrew Smithhammer and Kory (Jaclyn) Smithhammer; and five great-grandchildren, Bryce and Samantha Wichterman, and Joseph, Vincenzo and Marley Smithhammer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James N. Trombino, on March 30, 2005; a son, Dana Scott Trombino in 1966; and numerous brothers and sisters. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2023, at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300, www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory.com. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 10 a.m. Thursday with Pastor Chuck Jack officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
