Belinda Ann Rice, 85, of New Eagle, died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2023, in her home. She was born Sept. 15, 1937, in Monongahela, the daughter of Boyd and Margaret Mullen Cutright. Belinda was a 1955 graduate of Monongahela High School and a member of Riverview Baptist Church in New Eagle. She was employed at Hills Restaurant in New Eagle and South Hills Christian School in Finleyville, where she worked in the cafeteria. She also worked as a preschool aide at Head Start in Charleroi, where she retired. Every Saturday, she and her sisters went shopping with their mom. The sisters also enjoyed spending weekends at Shawnee Park and celebrating their birthdays together. Belinda looked forward to attending the Cutright family reunions every year. She loved cooking, baking and taking care of her grandchildren. She is survived by three daughters and five sons, Valerie Trail of New Eagle, Lisa Reed of North Charleroi, twins, Sam P. Rice of New Eagle and Dan (Lillian) Rice of Sidney, Ohio, David (Nancy) Rice of North Charleroi, Amy (Jimmy) Cogswell of Frederick, Md., Todd (Tracy) Rice of Buena Vista and Eric Rice of New Eagle; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two brothers and three sisters, George (Victoria) Cutright of Washington,  Iowa Hermann of New Eagle, Gail (Anthony) Mordecki of New Eagle,  Harold (Jenny) Cutright of Virginia and Patricia (Wes) Large of Monongahela. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel O. Rice, who died April 13, 2019; three grandchildren, Larry Acton, Belinda Anthony and Daniel Rice; and a sister, Helen Rice. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, 2023, at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, 2023, with the Rev. Donald Dague officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Monongahela. Memorial contributions may be made to Riverview Baptist Church, 405 Main St., New Eagle, PA 15067. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.fryefuneralhome.com.
