BVA edges Serra Catholic

In a matchup of two very strong teams, Belle Vernon Area picked up a gritty 39-32 victory over Serra Catholic in the Mon Valley Independent Girls Shootout Classic at California High School Saturday. The Leopards (9-6) and the Eagles (8-2) were both tasked with playing three games in three days, and it seemed as if both offenses suffered from fatigue in a hard-fought defensive clash.
