Donald J. Ivill, 67, of Rostraver Township, passed away on Thursday, Jan 5, 2023. He was born Aug. 19, 1955, in Charle- roi, son of Nancy Borsevich and the late Donald C. Ivill. Don was the second-generation owner and president of the former general contractor, General Industries, and the founder of the commercial real estate company, Vale Vista Associates. He always enjoyed the outdoors and could be found hunting, fishing and exploring the woods and local paths with his best canine buddy, Duke. Don also enjoyed golfing and was a founding member of the Southpointe Country Club and an active member of the Laurel Valley Golf Club. Don is survived by his former spouse, Gloria Mendicino; children, Michelle L. Ivill, Matthew D. (Ashley) Ivill, Douglas D. (Sara) Ivill and Justin D. Ivill; two grandchildren, Edison and August; two brothers, Dr. David (Vince Weiner) Ivill and Dr. Dennis (Robert Van Horn) Ivill; loving in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends will be received at RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC., 1209 Grand Blvd., Monessen, from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2023. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Saint Joseph House of Hospitality at www.ccpgh.org/donate.
