Vandals cause damage at Washington Township park

Vandalism has become a big problem at the Washington Township Recreation Park ball field and it needs to stop.
Those are the sentiments of Belle Vernon Area Youth Sports President Bill Bergman, who on Wednesday said there have been multiple instances of vandalism at the field recently.
On Tuesday, Belle Vernon Area Youth Sports took to Facebook to say vandals had damaged the picnic tables at the field and to ask anyone with information to call BVA Youth Sports “ASAP.”
“We have been vandalized several times. It needs to stop. We work very hard to make this place nice for all of the kids,” BVA Youth Sports said in the post.
