Couple leave jobs in Oregon to revive bed and breakfast inn at GAP trailhead in ‘little’ Boston

They left behind stable jobs in healthcare and the green sanctum of Portland, Ore., to revive a bed and breakfast in Boston, Pa.
What got into Joanna Haneman and Joshua Nelson you ask?
Well, couples who bike together, stay together. Haneman and Nelson are not only going the distance, but they’re offering a space at the cusp of the Boston Trailhead in Elizabeth Township where others cyclists can recharge and stay close after biking The Great Allegheny Passage.
The new owners of the boston inn, formerly Trailside Treasures, located at 1910 Donner St., are bike-forward, GAP Trail humanists pleased to offer three well-appointed, cozy rooms for rent across the way from Rich’s Parkside Den and The Betsy Shoppe in Boston starting at $100 per night.
All rooms at The Little Boston Inn have private entrances, private bathrooms and kitchenettes, which include a minifridge, microwave and coffee maker. “The Mon” features two double beds, while “The Yough” has one queen bed and one futon. “The Casselman,” priced at $140 per night, offers two queen beds and a living area.
Before they closed on the Donner Street property in April of last year, they closed the door on constrained “adulting” in Portland. Next-door-neighbors when they met, Haneman did what someone suffering from a “little crush” often does – she raved about a place they just had to go visit together.
