Olympus gets green light from Elizabeth Twp.

During two short periods of the academic calendar, hydraulic fracking and a phase of natural gas production known as “completions” will be prohibited at the site of Elizabeth Forward High School’s soon-to-be neighbor. But for most of the year, and for years to come, the Hera Well Pad and Hyperion Midstream interconnect station will be permitted to extract and transport untapped natural gas reserves from the Marcellus Shale less than 2,400 feet to the southwest of the high school building at 1000 Weigles Hill Road.
